Jody Meyer Yazici was educated at Cornell Law School and Northwestern University. In addition to representing clients in every area of Davis Friedman’s practice, Yazici is co-author of The Illinois Practice of Family Law with Muller Davis, the comprehensive reference used by attorneys and judges throughout the state. Having recently completed the manuscript for the 8th Edition, to be published at the beginning of 2008, Yazici maintains knowledge and expertise at the leading edge of family law practice, and is able to use that knowledge and expertise for the benefit of her clients.

Yazici firmly believes in Davis Friedman's fair-minded philosophy toward the legal process, emphasizing the importance of guiding cases in an honest and professional manner toward the best result for her clients. "Though it's easy for lawyers to take the bait of insults and derision," she says, "I steer my clients away from such distractions and focus on achieving their goals."

People assume that acting aggressive gets results, but it only increases the emotional and financial cost to a client. Intelligence, understanding, and a deep knowledge of the law, and applying all of those things well, are far more effective.

We are assisting clients through very stressful times in their lives. We can ensure that their journey through the legal system is as fair and efficient as possible. This relieves them of a major source of concern.
