Benton H. Page

Benton Page is an authoritative and unwavering advocate for clients who want results.  He assists clients in high net-worth divorce, child custody, child support, maintenance, property division, valuation and pre- and post-marital agreements. Thanks to his deep expertise in complex financial transactions, corporate structure, governance, the discover of assets and tax and estate planning, he is adept at guiding his clients through both amicable and hotly contested divorce and parentage cases, and has secured successful outcomes in both negotiations, mediations, and trials on behalf of  husbands, wives, fathers and mothers.

Page believes in putting children first in every situation. To that end, he develops unique solutions for each of his clients to achieve their goals while minimizing the impact of the divorce on all family members. Recognizing that family disputes are inherently emotional and challenging, and that divorce is often the most disruptive and difficult transaction his clients will ever experience, Page always tries to steer his clients through amicable negotiations and settlement whenever possible. However, his extensive experience in litigation, from pretrial and trial proceedings to appeals, enables him able to navigate a case from its initial phase through any stage of appeals, and act as an assertive and effective opponent in all aspects of the divorce process.

Page has extensive trial and appellate experience, having argued before the Supreme Court of Illinois, executed numerous appeals and drafted the IICLE chapter of family law appellate practice.  However, he also has extensive experience with mediation and has successfully used this process to settle numerous divorce and parentage cases, and has been certified by the Collaborative Law Institute of Illinois.

Page’s practice has earned him recognition from the larger legal community.  In 2015, 2016, and 2017, he received Leading Lawyers’ Emerging Lawyer Award, which is only awarded to the top 2% of lawyers under 40 or those who have practiced less than 10 years.
